The short version: Tile Wise is a learning app for American Mahjong. You may use it for personal, non-commercial learning. An optional subscription with a 7-day free trial unlocks the full app; it auto-renews unless cancelled, and all billing is handled by Apple. Tile Wise is an independent educational tool and is not affiliated with the National Mah Jongg League.
These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Tile Wise application ("the App") published by Liz Corbin Designs. By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. Your use of the App is also subject to Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).
We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial learning and practice. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse-engineer, or attempt to extract the source code of the App, except as permitted by law.
Tile Wise offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (monthly and annual) that unlock the full app. New subscribers may receive a 7-day free trial. Pricing is shown in the App before you purchase and may vary by region.
All billing, payment processing, refunds, and subscription management are handled by Apple under Apple's terms. We do not process payments and cannot issue refunds directly; refund requests are handled by Apple at support.apple.com.
The App lets you enter your own Mahjong card hands for personal practice. You are responsible for the content you enter, and you confirm you have the right to use it for your personal, non-commercial purposes. Your entries are stored locally on your device and are not transmitted to us (see our Privacy Policy).

The App, including its design, text, lessons, quizzes, artwork, and software, is owned by Liz Corbin Designs and is protected by intellectual-property laws. The "Tile Wise" name and logo are marks of Liz Corbin Designs. Nothing in these Terms transfers any ownership to you.
Tile Wise is an independent educational tool. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by, or derived from the National Mah Jongg League® (NMJL) or any official Mahjong organization. The App does not include or distribute any copyrighted NMJL card; any card hands you practice with are either fictional teaching examples or your own entries for personal use.
Tile Wise is provided for educational and entertainment purposes. While we aim for accuracy, we make no guarantee that the content is error-free or that using the App will produce any particular result or skill level. Always confirm rules with the official current card and your own game group.
The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement, to the fullest extent permitted by law.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Liz Corbin Designs will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for the App in the 12 months preceding the claim.
We may update, modify, or discontinue features of the App at any time. We may also update these Terms from time to time; when we do, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Your continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which Liz Corbin Designs operates, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles.
